Peter’s decision to become a Business Doctor was based on his realisation that SMEs would benefit from his corporate experience of finance, staff and team engagement, contract relationships, marketing, quality control, supply chains, risk management, change management, organisational structures and client relations. He is particularly adept at designing a scalable business for ambitious early stage business owners, supporting business growth and developing exit strategies on retirement.
Peter believes his particular strength lies in his ability to identify and address business issues by using accessible language to explain how the designated resolution will be broken down into manageable steps. He says he gains the most satisfaction from, ‘Seeing the owner smile at that light bulb moment when the solution to the problem becomes apparent.’
In the main, Peter’s clients have turnovers between £50k to £17m. In the last year, two of his clients have broken through the VAT threshold and two larger businesses have appointed budget holders in preparation for scaling up.
Businesses he has supported include Spatial Dimensions, Lighthouse Safety Training, Fred Masters Plumbing and Heating and Wildwood Media.
Peter’s energy extends into his leisure time, with travelling, walking and skiing amongst his interests.
