TaylorHare is an ambitious and energetic RIBA chartered architecture practice founded in 2014 by Chris Taylor and Tim Hare. We deliver projects at a variety of scales, from one-off houses for exacting private clients to large mixed-use schemes for private developers and investment groups.
Our select team of architects and designers come from a mix of backgrounds and experience that collectively come together to form a creative and dynamic studio. We’re known for our expertise working with listed buildings, constrained or challenging sites and unorthodox designs, as well as our knack for navigating the planning process.
Practice & Approach
Working from a converted cowshed based in the south-east of England, we are a small but driven team of designers guided by an approach that is genuine and innovative, focused on listening, translating and inspiring people.
Central to TaylorHare’s approach is our relationship with the client, whom we work with openly to produce innovative design solutions appropriate to the context presented to us. We like to be hands-on, representing our ideas both visually and physically. Hand sketches, drawings, perspective images and renders, alongside tactile material samples and physical models, enable our clients to clearly visualise their projects as they develop.
We strive to deliver impeccably detailed, finely crafted and functional spaces, yet equally we don’t take ourselves too seriously. TaylorHare is young and full of energy with an intellectual studio culture; strong on dialogue & testing ideas.
