Rap Interiors’ Christmas Charity Fundraising 2023

28th November 2023
Paul Brooks

If you already know Rap Interiors then you’re probably familiar with the fact that when it comes to Christmas, we like to play or part in supporting a charity or two during the season of giving.  This Christmas is no different and we have big plans for our charity fundraising with activities already in full swing.

Throughout the year, helping our local and wider communities is high on our agenda and this Christmas we have decided to focus our efforts on children’s charities, supporting the Magical Taxi Tour charity and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital Children’s Services.

What does the Magical Taxi Tour do?
The Magical Taxi Tour take children with chronic and life limiting conditions on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris in a black cab convoy.  Providing some respite from therapy and treatment, the charity are able to take the children on a three day trip to Disneyland Paris with the necessary medical support that families would not be able to do alone. On one day every year, a three mile long convoy of over two hundred black cabs, set off from Canary Wharf London and travel to Disneyland Paris with each taxi driver offering their time and vehicle freely.

How will the Rap Interiors be supporting Magical Taxi Tour?
On the 12th December, we will be making a team effort to complete a virtual cycle.  We will conquer our cycle challenge of 303 miles on an exercise bike in the office, matching the distance of the journey the taxis travel taking the children from Canary Wharf, London to Disneyland Paris.

Our target is to raise £1,500 which would fund the trip of one taxi. But why stop there? We would love to be able to raise even more.  If you keep sponsoring, we’ll keep cycling and maybe we’ll make it back to Canary Wharf!  We’d love to be able to fund two or even three taxis with your help.

Please follow the link to our JustGiving page to donate and keep us cycling!

Children’s services at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals
The children’s services at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals provide the medical care of children from 0-16 across both sites.  Their provision consists of a wide range of healthcare professionals and within various departments, ranging from an inpatient ward to day assessment unit, as well as paediatric Accident and Emergency.

How will Rap Interiors be supporting MTW Children’s Services?
We are collecting donations of NEW toys to gift to the children at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals over the Christmas period. It may not be the Christmas they had planned or hoped for but we hope to bring a smile to their faces during their stay. We’d love to collect 250 toys for the children.

The hospitals are appreciative of all donations but particularly struggle with age appropriate gifts for babies and teenagers.

If you are local or passing by and would like to drop any donations off to the Rap team you can find us at:

If you aren’t local to us then fear not, as Amazon is on hand to help.  Why not place an order and have it delivered straight to our office at the above address.

Thank you to a generous supporter who has already made use of this idea.

If you are attending the KCFG Networking Breakfast on 5th December, feel free to bring any donations along and Amie Howell will be there and will happily collect any on the day.

Alternatively, please email amie.howell@rapinteriors.co.uk or call 01622 663232 to make arrangements for your donations.

It would be appreciated to have all donations by the 15th December to give us time to wrap and deliver them to the hospitals.

Please feel free to share this far and wide with any friends or local businesses who might wish to donate a toy or two, or sponsor us for our cycle challenge. Any support is hugely appreciated and we’d love to reach, or even beat, our targets to make a difference to the children this Christmas and beyond.
