Paul Brooks

The new South East Export Development Project (SEED) will help small businesses from Kent and Medway, East Sussex, Essex and South Essex to make new virtual connections overseas, and will run for one year from March 2021.

The SEED project will organise a series of virtual trade missions and free activities to help companies in the following sectors:

  • Food & Drink
  • Health & Life Sciences
  • Digital & Creative

SEED will offer businesses a range of FREE support services to help them access new international markets through an innovative support programme culminating in a series of virtual trade missions aimed at SELEP-based companies which are keen to increase their international activity.

The free support services will include:

  • Online 1-2-1 export readiness meetings with an International Trade or Business Advisor to ensure you are ‘export-ready’.
  • Virtual group export & trade mission training sessions with tailored advice for your business about regulations and exporting procedures relevant to the target markets. These will also include trade mission preparation sessions to ensure you get the most out of your trade mission meetings.
  • Digital promotion of companies and their products and services in the target international markets.
  • Virtual trade missions whereby you will have the opportunity to meet with and present your business to in-market contacts.
